About Me
Hello! My name is Christian, and I am a mental health therapist licensed in Oregon and Washington. I specialize in addressing human stress and anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, OCD, PTSD, and insomnia. I have training working specifically with caregivers, elders, and people with chronic and serious illness and have worked professionally with adults of all ages and in all stages of life.
To be invited to witness client's most vulnerable emotional parts and to join them on their path of psychological healing and self-discovery is a humbling responsibility that I take very seriously. I hope you will consider reaching out for a consultation. It takes courage and humility to ask for help. I am glad you are here.
I work with clients through the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach to counseling that teaches clients how to make room for uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, memories, and sensations in order to reduce psychological suffering. The approach centers clients’ values and encourages them to take committed action toward building the life they want to live, being the person they wish to be. I also draw from more traditional models of psychotherapy like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and prolonged exposure, especially for clients living with severe forms of anxiety.
